NHL Playoffs 2015: Round 2 Series Predictions

Round 1 is in the books and it was a death trap for those using analytics. Only 2 of the 8 teams I had pegged to advance did so (Lightning & Capitals). Despite having a strong track record with playoff outcomes, only 2 of the top 10 possession teams are in the 2nd round. The lesser possession team won 6 out of 8 series from round 1.

What does that mean going forward? Well, for me, not much. The top 2 possession teams standing are the Blackhawks and the Lightning, and there's a good chance both are there at the end when all is said and done. The two remaining below-average possession teams are the Flames and Canadiens, and I'd be shocked if either sniff the finals.

All series odds are from Pinnacle, and all series player props are -120 from Bodog, unless otherwise stated.
